On a hot humid day in Princeton, 2623 and 8919 speed up the bank on the north track with an all intermodal train.

This was the first location on the list for me and Warren Schlo's day out east, and soon after we set up, this train comes roaring by in the nice morning light. What a great start to a wonderful day. This is one of the first photo's I have uploaded in a while, and there will definitely be more to come soon.

Deciding to use my 70-300mm for a location like this may have not been such a good idea but I believe the close up shot works very nicely in combination with some excellent lighting. I'll be honest, I did have a lot of trouble leveling this shot due to the awkward angle, but I figured it out thanks to some help from a friend.

CP Work 6020 departing North Yard Switch Spence heading for the Honda plant in Alliston to spot their 19 empty multi's for another load of brand new Honda Civics. Not far from Toronto but overlooked by most, Spence and it's 4-6 Honda assignments (depending on the time of year) is still a sanctuary for CP's aging and fleeting SD40-2's.

For a while in mid-2013, one could find unit coal trains like this one with mostly BN/BNSF cars on the CP Leduc Sub, pulled by CN and BNSF power. In this case, CN 2302 and 5616 are on the point, with 8890 as an end DPU. As of mid-2015, these trains no longer seem to run, and I haven't seen CN or BNSF power on the Leduc Sub. for quite a while, but other foreign power, especially UP, has remained fairly common.
