About Colin Arnot

I love British steam trains! but Canadian trains are OK. Earlier images were captured on a Sony DSC-H7, then Canon T1i and now Canon 60D with 18-135 IS lens. I am more interested in recording an interesting train picture than creating the perfect photograph, however I always hope my pics are "acceptable" so others can share my experiences. My pics are my "journal" of railfaning.

CPKC train B82, local transfer from Clover Bar to Scotford, makes it's way eastward through Strathcona County. Power is provided by KCS 5003, KCSM 4746 and CP 8619.

BRR 5951 and 5353 are seen running light past the Forestburg elevators. They are in charge of a Friends of BRR passenger excursion "Shake off Winter" from Kelsey to Forestburg and return. Although it is only a short train (four cars) it always has two engines, usually top and tail. This day however it was running double headed so there was a run round at each end of the journey. What you see here is the engines on the second track making their run round.

CPKC train 419 is building at Lambton Park. Being towed dead behind the road power are ex Shell Scotford plant switching units. EMD SW900 JLCX 136 and EMD GP20 mother slug set CRLX 2000 and 2001. (Future destination unknown)

During Railway Days Heritage Park's steam passenger train makes it way across the trestle and seemingly causing no concern at all to the sheep grazing in their pen.
