Headed for the connection with the Canpa Sub, a pair of SOO SD60s take an intermodal eastbound along the Oakville Sub by Burlington West station.

A pair of standard cab SD40-2s sit on the point of an eastbound at London East near the elevator. 5038 would be destroyed in a collision at Mont-Saint-Hilaire, QC in December 1999, while 5024 was sold to the BNSF in 1999 and rebuilt as BNSF 7327, <a href=http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=1439002>renumbered BNSF 6987</a> around 2007, and finally to Webb Asset Management <a href=http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=2740713>as WAMX 4165.</a>

An SD75i and a pair zebra geeps lead a string of tanks westbound on the Halton at mile 30. Of these three, only the 9650 has left the CN roster, now working as <a href=http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=5374840>Vermont Railway 310.</a>

A westbound CP freight passes through Guelph Junction with some intermodal traffic on the head end, including a CP Rail International Freight Systems trailer.

Turbo equipped 66 departs Toronto, passing over Jarvis Street bound for Montreal with VIA 154 bringing up the rear. Note the two near tracks are to old <a href=http://www.railpictures.ca/?attachment_id=21341>high line freight bypass.</a>

CN/GTW Trailer On Flat Car aka "Laser" train 238 is eastbound along the Oakville Sub approaching Lemonville Road, bound for Brampton Intermodal Terminal. Power today includes a trio of former Detroit Toledo & Ironton GP40-2 locomotives, renumbered into the Grand Trunk Western 6400-series after the DT&I came under GTW control in the early 1980s. 6415/6412 were originally DT&I 415/412.

TH&B SW9 58 rests at Chatham Street Roundhouse. Built at GMD London in January 1951, the 58 would be <a href=http://www.railpictures.ca/?attachment_id=39299>sold to Atlas Steel for scrap</a> in May 1988, but would avoid the torch, being sold to the Brandywine Valley Railroad in Pennsylvania <a href=http://www.trainweb.org/oldtimetrains/photos/thb/BVRY%208206-1.jpg>as BVRY 8206.</a> It would be transferred to the nearby Upper Merion & Plymouth Railroad as UMP 9007 in 1991, where it was operating as <a href=http://www.trainweb.org/oldtimetrains/photos/thb/UMP_9007_9009.JPG>recently as 2017.</a>

Trailing a westbound CP freight is SOO caboose 76 passing through Guelph Junction. GO Transit F59s 528 and 548 can just be seen on the storage tracks behind.

A shot probably taken at one of our LLL, Leaside Loco League, meet ups of eastbound SD's through Leaside with a pair of SOOs up front. Lots of CAST containers bringing up the head end.

CN SW1200RSu 7308 sits near the shop at Mac Yard coupled to M420 3522. Built in 1960 as CNR 1373, the pup was rebuilt in 1987 to 7308 and retired in March 2000. From CN, the unit was sold to Canac and later to Savage Services, receiving their paintjob around 2013 <a href=https://train-orders.com/RFN/ETC/014.jpg>becoming SVGX 7308.</a> Barely in frame, 3522 originally CN 2522, would be retired in March 1998 and sold a few months later to National Railway Equipment in Silvis, Illinois. It would be picked up by the <a href=http://capecodrails.railfan.net/cccx/ccc2000s.jpg>Cape Cod Central Railroad becoming their 2000</a> for a couple of years before returning to Canada and heading for the prairies as <a href=http://www.railpictures.ca/?attachment_id=25117>Great Western Railway 2000.</a> The GWR retired it’s MLW fleet in recent years, with the 2000 moving east to Manitoba, now operating on the Keewatin Railway as their 2404.

A set of SOO power leads what is likely a rock train headed for Aberdeen Yard southbound on the Hamilton sub crossing over Bronte Creek/Progreston Pond.

The sun now dipped below the horizon, it's time for a final shot of 431 at Guelph. Note the nose of CNR 6167 at far left. I had shot this train earlier <a href=http://www.railpictures.ca/?attachment_id=48133>at Limehouse</a> and just <a href=http://www.railpictures.ca/?attachment_id=48173>west of Acton.</a>

Headed into the evening sun, CN 431 climbs through Limehouse about a month or so before operation of the Guelph Sub is handed over to the Goderich - Exeter Railway. GE Dash 9-44CW 2563 on the point is just over a year old, emerging from the factory in July 1997, and 25 years later is still seen <a href=http://www.railpictures.ca/?attachment_id=44627>plying the rails.</a>

Late in the day on a UCRS trip, a trio of RDCs (CN 6116, CN 6003, CN 6120) are seen moving away from the photographer during a photo run by on the Drumbo sub at Bright. The trip ran from Toronto - London via the Oakville and Dundas subdivisions to reach the <a href=http://www.railpictures.ca/?attachment_id=38375>GMD plant for a tour.</a> Following the tour, the trip departed London for Hyde Park, taking the Exeter Sub north to Clinton and on to Goderich. Returning to Stratford, via the Drumbo sub to Paris, and back to Toronto.

A quartet of SD40-2s westbound through Puslinch, passing beneath Highway 6. The east back track switch in the foreground would be pulled in just a few years. Lead unit 6603 was scrapped by K&K in 2017, and second unit, 6615, was rebuilt to SD30C-ECO 5048 in 2016.

A trio of CN Canadian Cab units head south at Garnet about to cross Highway 6. RPM Used Vehicles dealership is in the background. CN 9651, sold in 2000 to Helm Financial, later to <a href=http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=4361416>Alabama & Tennessee River Railway 9651.</a> CN 9631 sold to Alstom in 2001, sold to Yadkin Valley Railroad in 2003, to WATCO in 2004, still operating as <a href=http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=5457283>WATCO 4021.</a>
