Remembrance day 2008....most of the foreign power years of 2005 - 2007 on CN here had dried up into 2008...then there was this one-off, Nov 11 2008, EB 398 with UP 4753 leading working up the hill out of Bayview.

Only 6 or 7 weeks - and we will be into scenes like this....the Tuesday morning after Thanksgiving 2012...a southbound Ethanol 640 ( now runs as 646 ) works it's way down the escarpment at MP 64; from the bridge on Thomson Road.

CN 435 has just completed it's work at Aldershot and was back on his train, when an EB showed up on track 3 with BNSF power leading...the leader...obviously had some recent nose work done. Taken from the berm at MP 35.7

it's a hot, hazy, humid Friday evening early in June 2007, and T-storms are imminent...as CP 254 diverges off the Galt Sub onto the Hamilton Sub lead at Guelph Jct

Three CN Auto related trains - now all history.... In the first couple of years since track 3 opened in 2006, It seemed to get it's fair share of usage. Here - CN train 271 - solid autos from the GM assembly plant in Oshawa bypasses stopped train 431 - which was parts cars from Oakville/Aldershot to the Ford stamping plant in Woodlawn NY ( South Buffalo ) The approaching headlight is CN 333 which originated in Oakville with finished autos and some miscellaneous traffic for CSX. All 3 trains no longer exist - 271 died shortly before the recession and the subsequent closing of one of the Assembly plants, 333 and 431 morphed into today's 421.

I am standing on a hillside with a long lens - over looking Cootes Paradise in the only clearing in vegetation around...CP 254 works its way through the crossovers at Desjardins after descending the escarpment in the background of the photo...shot about 630 pm.

It's an unusually hot spring day...Saturday April 28th 2007....and standing on the bridge here you could smell the creosote rising from the ties......331 had made a big lift....and now was struggling out of the cowpath with allot of steel products.....two 2400's spliced by a 5300 standard cab Sd40 head west into the sun.
