![The first KCS unit to be repainted in CPKC colours, KCS 4805 is seen about to duck beneath a sided bridge just east of Mortlach SK. My thoughts on this new scheme (although completely irrelevant) would be to ditch the gold logo with the white background and just make the letters bigger. What are your thoughts ?](http://www.railpictures.ca/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/DSC_6572-200x150.jpg)

![The latest arrivals to Stewart Southern Railway are seen here in the elevator track at Sedley SK, along with long term SSR vereran SSS 4255. The CRLX GP20 & GP20slug set have a lengthy history with the "mother" CRLX 2000 starting out as SP 7216 and the "slug" CRLX 2001 beginning as ATSF 1149. Hopefully this pair will stick around on SSR for a while.](http://www.railpictures.ca/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/24-0084-SSR.CRLX20002001SSS4255.SedleySK.Mar172024-200x150.jpg)

![JLCX 2886 has been a long term resident on the Long Creek Railroad and in this photo, is spotted nicely outside the shop building. This unit has a VERY interesting history. It was built for the original Norfolk Southern (NSRR) in 7/67 with a low short hood, no DB, was short hood forward, and had a much smaller fuel tank. It went on to be acquired by the SOU and was rebuilt with a high short hood, was set up long hood forward, and was given an extended fuel tank. It went on to wear NS paint and was eventually sold to the Chattahoochee & Gulf RR where it received a low short hood (again). It seemingly wasn't till the unit was acquired by JLCX that it received dynamic brakes! At 56+ years old, 2886 is still toughing out winters in southern Saskatchewan.](http://www.railpictures.ca/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/23-0968-200x150.jpg)

![A fair bit has changed since this photo was taken just a couple of months ago. The G3 logo on the side of the EFCX 1003 has been removed and painted over. After over a year on the SSR's property, the exGTW 4620 has finally moved on, (dose anyone know where to?). The pesky steel structure straddling the track that was once used to allow an excavator to unload gondolas has been removed. Change is constant.](http://www.railpictures.ca/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/DSC_5833-200x150.jpg)

![A beautiful sunny day in Willows Saskatchewan see's JLCX 7586 sitting in the Elevator track. I'm not sure what the future holds for the 7586 as it had many components removed when I walked over too investigate, but it could be someones project unit. But who's? I shot the 7586 last September in North Dakota at NPR's shop. The unit was shipped by CP for NPR under JLCX reporting marks, billed to Red Coat Road and Rail which is operated by Great Western Railway. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for this GP10. As for it's past, it began as PRR 7238 later becoming CR 7586 from there it worked under the same number for OHCR, ADMX, and Prairie Grain Parters (who's paint it wears today).](http://www.railpictures.ca/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/DSC_3940-200x150.jpg)
