In fall 1987, VIA Rail FPA4 6788 departs the Woodstock, Ontario station on the CN Dundas Subdivision heading west to London.

CP C-424 4240 is pictured crossing the CN Dundas Subdivision in Woodstock, Ontario as it returns to the yard from a run on the CP St. Thomas Subdivision. This location is now known as Carew.

In March 1983, a line of stored S-series units are pictured at the CN roundhouse in London, Ontario. A CP westbound powered by Quebec, North Shore & Labrador Railway SD40 206 arrives in Galt in July 1984. NS C30-7 8008 and SD40-2 6117 have exited the Detroit River Tunnel in Windsor as they bring a train into Canada and by the old Michigan Central station in summer 1987. This station burned down in 1996 due to an arson fire.

CP crews work to clear the derailment of CP train 916 that happened between Galt station on the Galt Subdivision and the curves before the westbound Orrs Lake mile sign during winter 1986. The photo was taken with permission from the homeowner whose property backed onto the line. <br> Thank you to RonaldB for the information on the CP derailment from my previous post.

An eastbound CP train is at Guelph Junction with 4732, 4511, 3115, 3114 and 1570 in May 1986. Both GP38-2’s 3115 and 3114 were on their first run from the GM Plant in London.

On a winter day, VIA Rail (formerly CN’s) Spadina coachyard in downtown Toronto, Ontario is viewed in winter 1982. All the tracks are packed with passenger equipment, including an Ontario Northland TEE train for the Northlander and VIA Rail cars from the blue and yellow fleet and old heavyweights including some cars still painted in their former CN colors.
