Very nice image of a bygone era. That station was such an interesting place to hangout and wait for some action !

That station was the best place to hang out at of any I have been to in Canada. Cannot say enough about them. It was a real shame when the station closed down.

Also – check out that tank car on the right. It’s a modern enough design that it lacks a center sill, but it has two compartments – a rare thing now – and plain bearing trucks! So much of the 70s and 80s in railroading has this fascinating mix of “old” and modern.
