With such a limited of locomotives at the time, what were the odds two units on the GEXR roster would share the same number? Slim, indeed. But it not only happened, here they are side by side opposite the Kitchener VIA station. In order to eliminate any confusion, the RailAmerica (X-RLK/SOR)was later renumbered to 2211. And last year the LLPX 2210 lease was terminated. So much for that.

  1. Great shot…when GEXR wasn’t orange! LOL

LLPX 2210 lease was not terminated though, the unit was transferred to the B&P for major mechanical work, then sent to the SCRF to work there.

Interestingly enough the RLK 2211 is stored unserviceable in Goderich, pending retirement.

  2. Thanks. I took info assuming it was correct from CTG 2017, which stated “lease ended”. I guess that suggests it is just no longer with the GEXR.

  3. 2211 is dead eh, too bad. I liked that unit despite the paint.
