Caption: With no shortage of fantrip attendees hanging out of the baggage car, Canadian Pacific D10h's 1098 and 1092 head up the west let of the wye at Streetsville Junction, about to cross Queen Street (present day Mississauga Road) and head north up the Orangeville Sub with a NRHS Buffalo Chapter excursion train on July 19th 1959.

Doubleheading D10's 1098 and 1092 handled the Streetsville-Orangeville portion of the trip and back, that took charge of the train at Streetsville from Mikado's 5118 and 5214 (that brought the train from Hamilton). Upon return, the D10's would uncouple and Pacifics 2214 & 2332 would take the train back to Hamilton. Leading steamer 1098 still exists today, repainted as Reading, Blue Mountain & Northern 225 on static display in Muhlenberg PA.

This Ektachrome slide was acquired awhile back but after almost 60 years had cyan colour-shifted badly (as Ektachromes are known to do) and was in need of some cleanup work. Some digital TLC and colour tweaking was performed to get it back up to snuff as best as possible.
