Caption: With a potential 12000 HP up front, a trio of nearly new Dash 8s are seen heading east on the Oakville Sub rather than going up the Halton, a rather uncommon practice in todays world. CN 2412, 2401 and 2425 provide the power. On the left, the old buildings are gone, the closest demolished and the other is CN Burlington West, since relocated, preserved, fronting nearby Fairview Av.

Where would they turn north to Mac Yard? Is this Tr435 in reverse, going into Toronto and thence up the Don Valley? Quarter Century Mr. Moon…a Quarter Century. Hardly seems possible does it.
Yes – via “downtown” and up the Bala Sub. This happened from time-to-time if there was a blockage on the Halton Sub, or if the train had work at Oakville. A few trains in the 90′s were scheduled that way, 435 and 384 did it for a while if I recall…
435 still took the Oakville and then the Bala up until probably 4-5 years ago Now you just get the odd local or detour
What a great sight, the only thing better would be three HR 616s
