Winter's coming, do you know where your F59 is? After finishing their morning rush-hour duties, GO Transit F59PH sister units 532 and 533 are seen at Bathurst Street deadheading to Willowbrook Yard to lay over the afternoon, before going out again in the snowy PM hours. GO 532 (on an L8 consist with cab car 241 leading) has just come off train #802 from the Barrie line and is proceeding west, while 533's L10 train is of unknown origin and is waiting for the light to follow.

The endless parade of F59 units shuttling passengers into Union Station downtown went on for a good two hours (7am-9am), and included inbound loaded trains, a few outbound loaded trains, and many deadhead moves out of Union to Willowbrook. VIA, Amtrak, CN and Ontario Northland trains often put in appearances.

After retirement the next year in early 2009, both were units sold off and worked here and there for different owners. 532 eventually ended up on Metra as their 99, while 531 is now on the West Coast Express as their lone F59PH 907.
