While puttering around at the Chessie facility I just happened to look back over behind me and there was B&O 3835 and a couple of vans in tow; a local working back to the yard. The scene show the train crossing Elm St near Wilson, entering the yard property. Like many of the photographers, I really miss this place.

  1. And the (soon to be?) Dispatchers office in the background. IMHO it’s still standing.. and likely still railway owned..

  2. 3835 is now gmtx 2688

  3. Now that little piece of information I find very interesting. These GMTX are everywhere from here to VTR to A&O and quite frankly I am tired of seeing them. I often wondered what they were “before” and how each and every one of them ended up with a magnificent paint job, remaining clean, when so many of the CPs of the past ended up looking like (bl-e-e-e-e-ep) !!!

  4. This is a true classic, love it!
