Caption: While Jamie is off in Thunder Bay land, it's time to toss some Hamilton up. I decided to go to Hamilton to show a friend the industrial area, and ran into two trains rather quickly. Witness above CN's pride of the fleet servicing the Bunge Bayside lead. Two grimy, barely painted units running alongside this scene in the Port of Hamilton. After getting a quick shot here I went deeper into the industrial area and while driving around found this 'three of a kind' where we went back to Guelph after the sun was gone for the night. I've come to realize Hamilton is a fish in a barrel scenario for us train aficionados, one of the busiest, and easily accessible places for railway action in much of this country. (Sarnia is busier, but it's far from being as accessible!). Where else can you get five to six daily jobs (CN and CP both including 551/555) along with industrial operations all in a compact 4 mile by 4 mile area. Add the mainlines and it's no wonder there's a lot of us in Hamilton that enjoy this hobby of ours - for decades.
