Caption: While I thought the possibility of catching CN 330 in a wicked sunset was over with the shortening days, this easily has to be the most interesting lighting I've ever received with a picture of a train in it. With heavy cloud cover, small slivers of sunlight reach through. While it may appear the sun is peering through the clouds, the sun is actually far off to the right of this picture, just a few minutes from dipping below the horizon. Here, CN 330 passes St. Catharines with a zebra GE cowl leader. Hearing the distinctive whine of an ES44AC, I was expecting it to be a CN, however the lashups from Sarnia never fail to surprise. After crawling all the way from Grimsby, the Welland Canal bridge was finally put down, and 330 throttled up coming out of the Jordan dip. Even though this train is less than 50 cars long, CN 2410 and BNSF 5837 are really putting in effort to get up to speed, evident by the heat distortion which is blurring the sunlight above the ES44AC.
