Wheel changeout taking place in Goderich yard in front of the enginehouse. The unit is one of I think 2 leased to the railroad at that time. Great runners, but not very photogenic.

  1. Great shot

  2. There were 3 on lease, 6061, 6091 and 6522.

Great shot, 6091 ran great once that work was done!

  3. Thought this was another Mooney Wreck Shot at first glance.
Nice behind the scenes action shot.

  4. To be honest, I really do not like GEXR that much. the duo of SD40-2s are mechanically failed and that SD45T-2 is patched out and oil is always spilled on it, giving it a strong diesel smell. and I would usually rather see CN 435 instead of GEXR 431! I MUCH prefer OSR and their pretty paint scheme and awesome roster

  5. The GEXR is a difficult line to shoot from Stratford to Goderich. I used to enjoy the line, but this “new” orange power has put a damper on it all for me.

  6. That’s OK Arnold – I’ll take the orange and get the photos for you. :)

  7. I feel the same, my mother and grandma like the scheme though…
