What a morning this was. Tracing 5792 the previous night, it had arrived Mactier roughly around 1am. I was almost certain this trains going to end up having a fast crew change, then beeline for Toronto. Boy was I ever wrong.

My logic being, if this train is held up for give or take an hour and a half, I'll have a slight chance to get it in lighter further down the Mactier. I rolled the dice and left the house just before three. Waterdown to Mactier is not exactly a short drive either to gamble on a train.

Continuing past Toronto, still nothing, ok lets keep going. Barrie, nothing, huh, I really wonder what are the odds they are still sitting in the yard. Lowe and behold there it is sitting in Mactier. After getting into Mactier at just before five and waiting around. A Herzog employee kindly enough talked to me for a bit, mostly curious what I was doing awake this early sitting around waiting for a train. GPS-01 was going to be dumping ballast between 75-68 before running around its power in Essa and returning to Subdury. Overall one heck of an amazing day foaming.
