That was quite something to see, I’ll bet. And it was great it was not under shadow.
I wonder which unit this was, they couldn’t have been too many small steam-powered cranes left by then. I’ve seen shots of a similar-looking CN 50884 crane with tender/flatcar 51379 at Spadina in the late 50′s/early 60′s.
MrDan, I found the shot of it facing in the other direction. It is the 50834.
