Caption: Westward from Grande Prairie, AB, the Northern Alberta Railways fulfilled the earlier name of Edmonton, Dunvegan and British Columbia for this portion with the 88 miles of line to Dawson Creek, BC, and in 1977 were providing thrice weekly wayfreight service with timetable trains No. 51 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from Grande Prairie and No. 52 on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from Dawson Creek. Motive power was frequently a single GP9, as with this No. 51 engine 206 on Wednesday 1977-09-21 by the lone elevator at Huallen, AB, at mileage 71.1 (measured from Rycroft, with Grande Prairie at 49.7) with three Hart-Otis ballast car loads plus four empty boxcars and caboose 13006.
