Westbound by Georgetown, CNR U-2-g 4-8-4 6233 (MLW, 1943) heads up Monday - Friday train 11 from Toronto to London, due into Georgetown at 1757h.  The foreground track curving of to the left is the northern section of the Milton Subdivision, running Georgetown to Allandale.  This would become the Beeton Subdivision in 1965 with the creation of the Halton Subdivision.In the distance at left is the former Georgetown Coated Paper Mills Ltd. building which had rail service.  Built in 1910, it would later become Alliance Paper Mills in 1928 before being purchased by Domtar in 1959.  It would carry the name Howard Smith Papers before becoming Domtar Fine Papers Ltd. until closing it's doors in 1978*.  The building survives today by as A-Plus Canada Inc Self-Storage and Applied Wiring Assemblies.   3. Very nice picture, and most interesting. Note the last 4 coaches on no. 11 are commuter coaches, probably will be dropped at Guelph or Stratford. The modern coach and baggage car would travel on to London. On Saturdays, this train would operate as no. 111 leaving Toronto at 1pm (for those who worked 1/2 day on Sat’s) and would only be 3 cars, no commuter coaches. Thank you for posting, John
