Interesting to see all the stock cars on the head end. They may well be destined to locations on the Galt Sub, or points west of London. Something we don’t see any more. For a brakeman, they were awful to work with. One never knew while riding one of those cars, which way a cow with an urge to ‘go’ might have their tail end pointed outward. I often climbed the side ladders to elevate myself above any possible ‘moisture’, especially if going way back into the Ayr pit spur.
