Well, with the potential loss of the Orangeville-Brampton (OBRY)imminent the thoughts of CP taking back the Orangeville line could be floating around, but I rather doubt they will. The line might just end up being a total loss here. (comments welcome). Anyway, this shot from 35.5 years ago, in the pouring rain, on a Wednesday day off from work is now historic, as is the old RS-18. The unit was converted to a control cab, (1116) a number of years ago.

  1. Awesome shot! Love it! Wish I could’ve seen them run to Owensound but I was born the year CANDO took over! Oh well, I’m glad I was able to manage a few shots of the OBRY last summer and I even resonantly shot the run of 4/10. Hope to get a few more before the lines likley demise. Great shot once again! That’s for sharing!

  2. Thanks for sharing my bad.

  3. You’re welcome, I’m glad you like this. I was not going to bother with this shot because the historical plaque is pretty well unreadable. The problem was, low light, slow film made adjusting depth of field very difficult. Typical day off of mine. Raining. :o (

  4. Mooney’s back !! How was your trip??

  5. Thanks for asking. Not bad. Only small portion for trains !!! Ashland VA slow compared to past years. BB (Buckingham Branch) Staunton VA still well worth the visit. Hard to find fault with a trip in which it was 31C in VA the day before a snowstorm hit Ontariowe !!! :o )

  6. Did this plaque move? Its now at intersection of mill and townline right at the corner
