If you haven't heard the news yet, unfortunately, while the GEXR may be returning to Guelph, the Ontario Southland will be saying good bye to the Royal City as the City has signed contracts to change operators. According to sources, the end of August is when OSR will change hands to GEXR, and GW orange will presumably return to the Royal City. Imagine that, the GEXR will operate both Goderich subdivisions - they don't even have to change their name. Best of luck to all current Ontario Southland employees, as these are uncertain times for them just as it was for former GEXR employees a couple years ago - please respect them during this transition period if you do go trackside as they have livelihoods on the line, and we just take pictures.
