Just noticed the replaced the old mechanical bell with an e-bell behind the front trucks. I always liked the mechanical bells on the older engines.
I agree with your comment. On the other hand, so many of the crossings are honking prohibited. Just in the last few weeks several more have become no honking. (Which is inconvenient, I still use honking as a tool to alert me to other movements in my area when out taking photos). So, it is important to have a good loud ringing bell when approaching grade crossings.
