WC 6506, 3012, 6655 and 6004 are rounding a slight curve passing the old Perry Sectionhouse (mile 149.9)on their way South to Sault Ste. Marie from the Sinter Plant near Wawa on the now gone Michipicoten Sub. This was the first of three southbounds seen over the day, and unfortunately I was not able to get the train number. The SectionHouse is in dire need of a coat of paint, but that is really about it. I understand it survives still, probably a privately owned building like so many of those along the rather remote former Algoma Central line.

  1. I really like this.

  2. Thanks, Mr. Host. This is one of my old favs; I like that ‘almost historical’ structures plus the fact for my own satisfaction I nailed this power exactly where I wanted to. Not having any kind of zoom lens back then hampered making a ‘thorough’ scene, but it was as good as I was going to get it.

  3. Yep, private cottage, still standing.

  4. And it still has the sign over the veranda!! Thanks Chris, and Merry Christmas.
