VIA train 72, with GMD F7Au CN 9175 leading, is westbound under York Blvd approaching CN Bayview.
A VIA engine can be seen behind CN 9175; Bill recorded unit numbers 9175, 6763, and 6516.
The first two were retired by 1989, VIA 6516 survived a bit longer.
A pair of startled birds are taking off at the right, beside the bridge support.

  1. Caption error: this is an EAST bound train, en route to Toronto Union.
    The F7Au locos were one of the types of CN loco which continued to power passenger trains into the VIA era, but were not in VIA’s roster.
