VIA Train 15 approaches Westchester, Nova Scotia, Mileage 33.3 of CN's Springhill Subdivision at 3.23 p.m. on Wednesday, September 22, 2021. There's only an hour left in the summer of 2021 and Covid restrictions have reduced the service to but once a week. As well, the back-to-back 'F40s' and lack of a Park or Skyline dome car confirm that VIA trains are no longer turned in Halifax prior to returning to Montreal.

  1. Excellent capture Bill! Looking forward to riding her again! Lets hope a solution can be found for the turn around. – Ken

  2. Very nice picture Bill, hope to ride the Ocean late this year or next spring. Do you have a picture of it eastbound ? Interested in seeing whether there is a Renaissance transition baggage car attached to the F40’s. John

  3. No eastbounds for me yet, but the last car on this train was baggage 7009 and the transition car behind the sleepers was 7602.
