While fulfilling a promise to my Father-in-Law Johnny (see ID 27380), it gave this Newfoundland & Labrador railfan a chance to capture some VIA Rail action. Due to the December 2013 North American storm complex, rail and highway traffic was disrupted and as a result, VIA Rail Train 51 was well past its 08:45 departure time from Fallowfield. Due to the delay caused by the ice storm, I was able to witness, along with Johnny and my youngest son Thomas who would later accompany us to Montreal on VIA Rail # 32, a full passenger train led by P42DC 907 en route to Toronto.
