Caption: VIA 6427 flies across Main Street in Lynden, leading it's four car consist to it's next station stop at Brantford. Note how this engine was modified...most distinguishing is the addition of the third headlight. My first sighting of this paint scheme on 6427 was 1989 - I departed a train at Napanee and saw not only was the new motive power for VIA Rail at that time, but this paint scheme as well. Although this paint scheme was modified through the years, 6427 was finally repainted to the current design. I didn't realize it at the time, but I photographed 6427 only this past weekend (Oct. 31st 2015) in Port Hope: http://www.railpictures.ca/?attachment_id=21408#sthash.c9mx3wOl.dpuf A transformation indeed.
