Caption: Upon arrival at Snelgrove in northern Brampton, it's time to put a unit on the rear of the Credit Valley Explorer tour train for the return trip north. Here the crew has uncoupled the power, run it ahead, cut off 1000 and is backing onto the siding around the train to hook onto the rear. Once 4009 was reconnected, the CVE would keep heading south to tour the rest of the Orangeville Brampton Railway line, and then reverse direction at Streetsville with 1000 leading north and 4009 trailing.
The community of Snelgrove, located at the northern edge of urban sprawl in Brampton, apparently got its name due to a large number of people with the last name "Snel" (or Snell) living in the area. While there once was a station here along the Credit Valley Railway line (later CPR, today OBRY), it is long gone. Only the siding and back track remaining here (sometimes used for running around trains, setting off cars, storing work equipment and transloading shipments).
