Caption: UPGRADE AT CRUISERS. Terra Transport Mixed Extra 935 West has just crossed under the TCH overpass in Bishops Falls on April 16, 1988 and is climbing upgrade at Cruisers Brook, said to be the steepest grade on the entire 547 Mile Newfoundland Railway. Departing Bishops Falls at 11:00 AM, the two NF210's (935 and 927) leave with passenger only equipment (Baggage 1308 and Coach 764) until four container units were picked up in Grand Falls. The only travellers to make the entire 138 mile journey to Corner Brook were the photographer and his friend Paul who was delighted to experience his first ride on a Newfoundland train. One other, a cabin owner, got on at Millertown Junction and soon departed in several feet of snow at Gaff Topsail. The hospitality and friendliness of the Newfoundland crews were beyond compare, with conductor Carl Dillon inviting us both back to the caboose and allowing us to ride in the cupola for several dozen miles.
