Two 1980's designed locomotives representing vastly different motive power philosophies bring a late-running CN 435 down track 6 at Racecourse yard. The classic Draper-Taper in the lead was purchased new in 1989, while the trailing unit, CN 2041, is actually a year newer having been built as CN 8541 in 1990. The train made an unscheduled stop in Woodstock after the low-hanging air hose connection between the 21st and 22nd cars snagged the crossing resulting in the train going into emergency.

  1. Actually, CN 2041 was originally built as CNW 8542 prior to becoming UP 9064, then CREX 9064.
