Caption: Judging by the lack of cars and pedestrians anywhere, this might be a Sunday morning in August or July (as stores in Ontario were still closed down on the Lord's Day, not to change until 1992). A lone 4500-series A8-class TTC PCC streetcar trundles eastbound on St. Clair Avenue West through midtown Toronto, pausing at Spadina Avenue to let off a passenger before continuing on its way towards the unknown photographer standing at Avenue Road. The destination rollsign appears to read "Yonge Subway" (perhaps St. Clair cars only ran to Yonge on weekends, and not further up Mount Pleasant). A taxi cab sits at Forest Hill Road between calls.

Wow !!
I think this is looking west from Avenue Road, Dan…he is probably making a stop at Dunvegan Road, right before St Clair dips down to meet Avenue.
Hmm, could be the Dunvegan stop applegathc, the telephoto effect throws everything off!
