Caption: TTC PCC 4434 (an A7-class streetcar built by CC&F in 1949) heads eastbound on Queen Street East passing a row of storefronts and apartment buildings by the corner of Brookmount Road (that today all still remain, including the church in the background). Visible signage advertises Bedroom Apartments (w/Vacancy), Kay's Confectionery, and Globe Cleaners. On the south side of the street by the streetcar car stop to the left is the barely visible east end of the old Greenwood Racetrack, that once occupied the large piece land in this area of Toronto known as "The Beaches". It's a Monday, but it's also Thanksgiving Day, hence the very low level of holiday traffic on Queen.
