Caption: TTC A1-class air-electric PCC 4060 curves east from northbound on Dufferin Street to eastbound on Queen Street West, working a Kingston Road car to Woodbine Loop in the Parkdale area of Toronto on August 22nd 1964. The sign behind the streetcar says "CPR Parkdale Station", above an arch cut into the stone retaining wall and stairway that lead up to CP's Parkdale Station, the top of which is visible (closed a few years later in 1968 and later demolished). The red trucks lining the top of the retaining wall are for Canadian Pacific Express, who had their building next to the station.
Advertisements on the streetcar include ads for the 1964 Canadian Drum & Bugle Corps Championships, a horse show, and a partially obscured one for a Mickey Mouse performance at the Hummingbird Centre (only 50 cents!), plus billboard advertisements for Wonderbread white bread (some things never change), and Alpine Cigarettes.
