  2. Thanks for posting this photo! I used to cross the railway here on my way to and from Senior-Public school and High school every day. In those days the cement plant was still running and the MapleLeaf Flour Mill and Government Grain elevator were getting hundreds of cars a week. There were railway lines all over town. I can remember hearing the train at night as it approached Port Colborne from Dunnville. I was stopped at this crossing on my way to school by a NYC passenger train that had been waiting for the bridge at the canal to come down. It was detoured during thew new canal construction. Great memories! Bill Hall
