The MP40's were fresh on the scene when I paid my first visit to Bathurst Street. I met up with fellow friend, Brendan Frisina in Hamilton and we rode the GO to Union Station. It was a bitterly cold morning, as the Inglis sign can attest too (it felt closer to -30 with the wind). Lots of green and white passed by, but here the highlight. A westbound VIA, led by P42dc 916 splits a pair of GO trains. Above, on the right, the new generation leads an eastbound train into Union while on the left, veteran F59PH 539 sits waiting for the light to head west to Mimico.

Nice timing and nice shot.
