The Paul M Tellier tunnel
The original tunnel was the St. Clair Tunnel and the new(er) tunnel is commonly known by the same name. I’d be surprised if you surveyed 100 locals that any of them would know it is named the Paul M. Tellier Tunnel.
The original was indeed called the St.Clair Tunnel. When the new tunnel was completed it was named the Tellier Tunnel. I have had the privilege of using both tunnels in my years of railroading. Local railroader and the RTC operations just call it the Sarnia tunnel. Local fans may still use the old names. I was simply posting what the tunnel is officially named.
No one knows the tunnels true name, except CN employees.
The makeshift sign they installed a few years ago.. is it even there anymore?
LOL..well the only ones that count are the CN employees
Oh that tacky little sign that they carved in concrete when they opened the tunnel? Sadly its still there. What an eyesore
