Traffic Jam: CP TL-11 with 3097-3085 makes a runaround move at the west end of Quebec Street after pulling cars from the CN interchange at the east end of the yard. In the background CP 647 (8948-8884) pumps air on their 2200' lift, while 2-242's crew fiddles around with their power (2280-5906-6260). They would leave the GP20 and SD40-2 in the yard before wying 6260 on the GM wye (more accurately, "former" GMD wye), and leaving town westward light engine. Also in the mix were T-92 and T-96, not pictured here. Busy day on the west end of the Galt Sub!

  1. Very nice. Is that part of an old roundhouse at right?

  2. The building at right at the moment is just being used to store MOW supplies. The first roundhouse was located at the west end of Quebec street when built, but was then moved to the east end; I think it was farther south than the building pictured. One stall of the newer roundhouse still stands to store supplies for the B&B gang. CP had leased out the building at right until a few years ago when they blew their brains out cleaning up the place (ahead of the RCP visit last year), moved all the MOW equipment from the east end of the yard to a new compound at the west end. Progress? hard to say…
