Caption: Toronto Transit Commission A-8 class PCC 4533 and two 4750-4779 series sisters (A-14 class ex-Kansas City cars) are pictured outside the Wychwood Car Barns (also known as TTC's St. Clair Carhouse) in September 1973. Built in 1914 by the Toronto Civic Railways, at the time of this photo regular operations out of Wychwood would last for a few more years before being moved elsewhere in 1978 following route consolidations. The facility served mainly as a storage yard for the TTC until it was sold to the city in 1996 (the last switches into the property were taken out of service two years later in 1998), and today has been repurposed as a community centre and park area for different events such as art shows, the summer Brewery Market, and other local events.
