To this day this is still one of my favourite images. I made the most of 2816’s trips to Ontario back in the day. This day I was out with a good railfan friend and we chased the train westward from Streetsville. As the train was carrying a loaded GO train set on the tail end we were determined to get a shot or two with out the GO cars standing out. Knowing that the crossing in Campbellville would be loaded with railfans we decided to try the edge of the pond. Amazingly there were no railfans there to be found and the curve did a good job hiding most of the GO cars. It is unfortunate that the pond has grown in so much over the years. At Guelph junction the entire train used the wye before heading back to Toronto.
