Caption: Throughout the Goderich-Exeter era on the Guelph Subdivision, train 516 from Stratford would regularly meet VIA Rail #85 in the small siding at Baden during the noon hour between switching customers between Baden and Stratford. However, after CN’s return in November 2018 there were no longer meets here during the afternoon as all the CN locals were now ordered out of Kitchener and L568 runs the same direction as 85. However, it should be noted that very occasionally L568 has met VIA Rail #87 here during the evenings on their return to Kitchener. However, a noon hour meet in Baden did occur at least once during 2019, as on one Friday morning CN L540 had to venture west to switch and lift a block of cars that had been previously set-off in the siding. Here, on a warm spring day, CN 4713 takes a break from switching and does a roll by inspection of 85 with 6408 west.
