  1. Intriguing angle, Dave !
The train makeup is also intriguing. I presume it is mainly gondolas and the pole line in the background in combination with compression of the telephoto, makes it look like a welded – rail train. Did you happen to take another shot of the cars or going away ??

  2. Bruce, this is the only shot of this train I took. I can find only one picture taken in Hagersville from the north side of the tracks and this is it. Don’t know if those are CWR cars or possibly pipe. That would definitely be a telephoto shot.

  3. How many u25b’s had the uni windshield look like this one?

  4. Not sure Steve. The one piece windshields were on the earlier production units.

  5. Thank you – they are certainly rare. I shot an ALCO in Scranton (DLW) with a one piece windshield. It’s the only one i’ve seen in the flesh. Lucky too I managed to get it leading.

  6. Dave has it summarized correctly. All of the C&O U25B were 1-piece windshields; all of the Erie Lackawanna U25B’s were too; all of the WAB were; and then some of the earlier NYC and PRR U25′s were 1-piece, including all 20 of the PRR U25C’s.
