Caption: Threatening skies create a somewhat impressive backdrop as CN 435 rolls into Brantford. I have to admit when the first “teardrop “ window design Dash-9’s arrived on the property I wasn’t overly impressed. I definitely preferred the early four window examples, but here we are in 2023 and even this design is fading as CN pushes forward with its Dash-9 rebuild program that includes replacing all cabs with the current GE version. All of a sudden these aging GE’s are worth another Look. After dropping its SD70 mate at Aldershot Dash-9 2663 had its work cut out for it climbing the Niagara Escarpment solo. The rest of the trip to London should have been an easy go.
