This year's spray train ran exactly a year apart from the one last year to the day down in the Windsor area. Only difference was last year was D&H 7304. Just before this shot was taken a pop-up thunderstorm came through so I got lucky that there was a bit of a break between the clouds for this shot. If only I was 20 20 years ago. I could have shot way more of these D&H units instead of just the 2 remaining in service.

  1. Yeah, Mike, you “missed the boat” so to speak not being able to shoot a massive consist of locomotives decked out in the famous “Lightning Stripes”. A beauty scheme :o )

  2. I always think of the “what if” opportunities when I look back at classic shots of C&O, DT&I, etc in Windsor. At least I was able to get the last 2 of these D&H units left. I’m sure 20 years from now they won’t be around and some kid will be looking back at shots taken now wishing they had been alive to see what is left today.
