This was my only successful stop at Spadina Street. I much-preferred Bathurst St
At the time, I did not know just how railfan-friendly the shops were. I elected to stay on the convenient stairway that led down to the tracks.
The FPA-4's were my favorite subjects while in Toronto. The 1600 hrs clear, low angle light highlights the louvers and other details on the side and top of the locomotives.

  1. Hey Steve great shot as usual. In the good old days back then, they were very railfan friendly. I used to go to the shop office and sign a release, they gave me a hard hat and said watch for train movements at any time. I got a few great shots some times, but not as great as yours. LOL i was just a kid with a cheap camera that loves trains. Hmmm, hopefully I have got a bit better at takin pics.
