This is the Mac Norris Station at the West Coast Railway Heritage Park in Squamish. It was designed to be built for the Pacific Great Eastern Rlwy in 1915 but the railroad went bankrupt so construction was cancelled ... until 1999/2000, 85 years later. The station houses a tea room and is a popular location for weddings and other festivities.

  1. Mac Norris was CEO of BC Rail during the 70s & 80s. There’s an interesting story about how he switched railroads at the Train Orders site.

  2. The photo makes it look like someones scale model. Intriguing.
