Caption: This is an example of the activity at Fort Erie yard back in the day when I used to drop by. Talk about busy!! All kinds of activity to keep someone and their camera busy. FAs, FBs, GP9s, SD40s; heck, whatever your fancy, it was around somewhere. Of note an enormous stack of new ties down on the bottom left by the old line to the Dunnville sub; as well as the arrival of the Chessie transfer, led by 3533 and 4350. Always something going on.

A great view. I’ve always liked Chessie cabooses.
Agree about the caboose. This is an eye-opening view as to what once was though, isn’t it?
This is great Mr Mooney. Especially with the Chessie transfer. Is a similar view..time machine type photo now(ish) we can see? Cheers.
Actually got it on Google Earth. Wish all the ripped track was drawn in. Work to do. But still a pic of late would be great. Thanks again!
Worth a thought for anyone down in Fort Erie to do a “time” on this. Never thought of it myself…..but next time I am down there……
To see it now is the definition of railfan sadness!
