This exSP U25B turned "S3-2B" (slug) is certainly one of the most unique industrial units I've come across, right down to the Mars light.

  1. This is unreal. Are there any other survivors ?

  2. SP converted 14 GE U25B’s into slugs. The first one was termed as model S3-3BDE, while the others were like this, S3-2B model. PHLX 6 is the former SP 1602, a rebuild of U25B 6765 nee SP 7565.
The 1606 was sold to Ark & Missouri RR in 2010; and UPY 937 exx SP 1612 was sold to Larrys Truck Electric in 2017.
Your other photo, Matt, of all 3 units, is a classic !!
