Thirty years after my boyhood visits and the Kitchener yard continues to seemingly be a draw. Here BNSF 2090, GTW 5849, 4902, 9449 and 4725 are viewed awaiting a crew to take this consist westward. In about two hours a CN crew would board to take L587 west to Stratford after the last GO Transit commuter trains and VIA Rail 87 have cleared.

@Aitch- 587 is a fairly new train that is ordered at 20:00 Monday-Friday to basically just switch the yard and build the other locals and sort 533’s set-off. Occasionally, it will do other work like rescue L568 or in this case, take it west.

  9. Thanks for the info Jason; much appreciated.
