Caption: Things were pretty quiet at National Steel Car when I passed by last week - no surprise given the plant is now temporarily shutdown as physical distancing measures continue around the world. I happened across CP's weekday job - TH11 - pulling some of the new American Iron and Metal (AIMX) gons that had recently been painted. The other cars pictured are Shell plastic pellet hoppers, letter SPMX, which have been going out on CN. The tracks at NSC sit completely empty now, a sight I have not seen in some time given how busy they have been in recent memory.

In addition to the cars pictured, other cars rolling off the line lately include new well cars, G3 grain hoppers, and potash hoppers. I would expect builds on all of these orders to resume once workers return. The G3 hoppers looked much like the standard CN, CP and GrainsConnect hoppers of recent, so don't get too excited.
